“Eternal Eruption”

Reading Time (200 word/minute): 3 minutes

In the heart of the desolate lands, there stood a mighty volcano known as Mount Eternia. Its fiery core rumbled with an eternal anger, casting a shadow over the surrounding lands. Legend spoke of a powerful artifact hidden within the depths of the volcano, said to grant immortality to the one who possessed it. Many had sought to claim this artifact, but none had returned.

As a renowned explorer, I, Lain Rafy Beadlacle, was drawn to the mystery of Mount Eternia. The tales of immortality whispered in the winds ignited a spark within me, driving me to uncover the truth hidden within the volcano’s depths. With my trusty companions by my side, we embarked on a perilous journey towards the smoking peak.

The path to the volcano was treacherous, the heat of the lava threatening to consume us at every turn. As we neared the summit, the ground beneath us began to tremble, and a deafening roar filled the air. The volcano was awakening, its fury unleashed upon us.

With determination in my heart, I pushed forward, leading my companions towards the mouth of the volcano. As we descended into the fiery maw, the air grew thick with ash and smoke, obscuring our vision. Shadows danced in the flickering light of the lava, whispers echoing through the caverns.

Finally, we reached the chamber where the artifact lay hidden. A pulsating light illuminated the room, casting an otherworldly glow upon the ancient stones. As I reached out to claim the artifact, a figure emerged from the shadows, a being of darkness and malice.

“Stop!” the figure hissed, its voice filled with venom. “The power of immortality belongs to me, and me alone.”

I stood firm, defiance burning in my eyes. “I will not let you unleash such power upon the world. Immortality is a curse, not a gift.”

The figure laughed, a sinister sound that sent shivers down my spine. “Foolish mortal. You know nothing of true power.”

With a wave of its hand, the figure unleashed a wave of darkness that engulfed me, consuming my very essence. I felt my body wither and decay, my life draining away as the figure cackled triumphantly.

As I lay on the cold stone floor, my vision fading, I heard a voice whisper in the darkness. “The true power of immortality is not in living forever, but in knowing when to let go.”

And with those final words, the darkness claimed me, the eternal eruption of Mount Eternia fading into silence.
