Reading Time (200 word/minute): < 1 minute

Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend a four-day truce in Gaza by two additional days. This decision came after Hamas promised to release more Israeli captives, in exchange for Israel freeing more Palestinian prisoners. The extension of the truce will bring relief to the people of Gaza, as it means a halt in bombardment and an increase in humanitarian supplies for the region.

Now the question arises: what comes next? What concessions must both sides make to achieve a longer-lasting peace? Or will Israel resort to war once again?
