Israeli air raids have resulted in the deaths of many Palestinians at two United Nations schools in Gaza. The al-Fakhoora School in the Jabalia refugee camp and another school in Tal al-Zaatar were targeted. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that at least 50 people were killed at al-Fakhoora School, with a total estimated death toll of 200 across both attacks. The schools had provided shelter to several hundred people seeking refuge from ongoing Israeli attacks. Israeli military had advised Palestinians in north Gaza to move for their safety, but air raids continued in other areas. It is reported that about 1.6 million people have been displaced within Gaza during the six weeks of fighting. Palestinian officials claim that at least 12,000 people, including 5,000 children, have been killed as a result of Israel’s air and ground campaign.
