On December 5, 2023, Jewish university students gathered outside the United States Congress to protest against a resolution that equated criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism. Students with pro-Palestinian attitudes, even if they are Jewish, are not given much attention to their safety.

Recently, members of pro-Palestine groups were attacked on campus and the university blamed them for the incident. Universities like Columbia have banned pro-Palestinian groups while fueling the conflation of Judaism and Zionism.

Political pundits often slander pro-Palestine marches while uplifting events that support Israel, even though many Palestinian and Arab peers have shown kindness and safety at these protests.

In the face of violence, Palestinians continue to show resilience and the world must stand in solidarity with them. As Jewish students, we must refuse to let our identity be used to justify crimes against humanity. We must take action and protest against injustice, just as it has been the norm in our community for years.
