A military spacecraft has been successfully placed into its intended orbit, according to an announcement from Russia’s Defense Ministry. The spacecraft was launched using a Soyuz-2.1b rocket from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the northern part of the country. The Defense Ministry stated that the launch proceeded as planned and the spacecraft was successfully placed in its target orbit, with ground facilities now having control over it. The ministry also confirmed that a stable telemetry link had been established with the spacecraft and that its onboard systems were functioning normally. Following the successful launch, Military Space Force intelligence officers have begun analyzing and processing information about the new space object. The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket was witnessed by 45 female students from various boarding schools affiliated with the Defense Ministry and the Kyzyl Presidential Cadet School. These students were given a tour of the cosmodrome, including the rocket launch pad and other facilities. The previous launch of a Soyuz-2.1b rocket from the same cosmodrome occurred on October 27, carrying undisclosed spacecraft for the Russian Defense Ministry. Overall, the Russian space agency Roscosmos has conducted a total of 67 launches of Soyuz-2.1b rockets since 2006, deploying 577 spacecraft into orbit.
