Russian drone destroys fortified Ukrainian position (VIDEO) – Analysis

A First Person View (FPV) drone video obtained by RT shows a Russian kamikaze drone destroying a fortified Ukrainian position near Soledar, in Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The footage demonstrates the operator’s skill in flying the explosive-laden quad-copter UAV through the outpost’s door. The video also includes another angle of the incident, showing the resulting explosion. Russian forces gained control of Soledar in January after intense fighting. It is located 15 kilometers away from Artyomovsk, the site of a significant battle between Moscow and Kiev, which concluded with a Russian victory in May. Reuters previously reported that Ukrainian troops operating assault drones in eastern Donetsk expressed concerns about Russia’s advantage in the number of UAVs. A Ukrainian soldier stated that Russia had approximately twice as many drones as Ukraine in that area and that drones were a game changer in the conflict.
