Wide Divide Between US Right and Left on Palestine : Analysis

Former US National Security Advisor John Bolton and Sarah Leah Whitson, the former executive director of Human Rights Watch in the Middle East and North Africa, offer opposing perspectives on the Israel-Palestine conflict in the latest episode of host Steve Clemons’ show.

Bolton, aligned with the American right, views Palestinians imprisoned by Israel as “criminals” and sees them as a proxy for Iran. Meanwhile, Whitson, representing the left, sees the issue as one of a nation seeking freedom.

Although both sides differ on their interpretation of the conflict, they do agree that achieving peace and stability in the region is highly unlikely in the foreseeable future.
